Ceremony
Where: Tybee Island BeachWhen: Sunrise, 7 a.m.
Attire: Pjs and swimsuits
Attendance at the ceremony is optional!
We realize that not everyone is a morning person, or can pull all nighters. That and getting there may be, er, interesting, as it is a half hour drive from the Historic District. The ceremony will be video taped by friends and replayed at the beginning of the reception.
The ceremony will most likely be short. It will be held at the waters edge. Bring your own chair or towel to sit or stand in a semi-circle around Jess and Ben (and the officiant) at the waters edge.
Directions:
1. Once in Savannah propper, get to President Street.
2. Follow President Street for long while. It turns into the Island Express Way, and turns into Butler Ave. Follow until you see the Ocean Plaza Resort on your left (near 14th Street). Turn left onto 14th Street and follow behind the Ocean Plaza Resort, you will see public parking. At that hour and on a weekend you won't need to worry about paying the meter. Use the walkways to get past the dunes and onto the beach. We will be in the opposite direction of the Pier.
Note:
Returning the same route is tricky. Island Express branches - you want to take the RIGHT FORK. Otherwise you end up in a bad section of town. Bring a map with you, as there aren't any places to stop to look at one or ask directions. When in doubt, head north to Broad St, take that West which will return you to the historic district. Other main roads to know are Oglethorpe (runs North-South) and MLK (runs East-West).
Reception
Where: Vic's on the RiverWhen: 7:00pm (tenative)
Attire: Cocktail/business casual
Directions: Vic's has two entrances - one on River Street, and one on Bay Street. See webpage for addresses. We will be in the Stoddard Room on the fifth floor. There is an elevator for easy transport between floors.
Notes: There will be hors d'oeurves followed by a plated dinner.

Yes, there is a WHOLE DAY between the ceremony and reception. We understand this is a vacation for many people, and this will allow time to go visit museums, shop, hang at the beach, NAP, or whatever you want! Enjoy all that Savannah has to offer! Jess will be getting her hair and makeup done at the Savannah Day Spa around 3pm. Women are more than welcome to book their own appointments or come hang out.After Reception Pajama Pool Party
The reception is only until 11pm. For the late night partiers, Jess and Ben will be going back to the Mulberry Inn and welcome anyone who wants to hang at the pool for a pajama party. We've talked to the Mulberry, and they are cool with it!Sunday
