Ok, so, I'm lazy. :P (Jess is at least.) I figured I could update this quicker/easier so things stay up to date and I can update the real information later. So, yes, this is an important page. ;)

March 30, 2008

• Ok, so that makeup chick I worked with? Yeah, long story but not happening. Partially because she won't return my emails, calls or text messages. It doesn't surprise me she wouldn't work out a contract.
• I'm updating today! I hope to clarify a few things that seem to be my fault in miscommunication.
• Ben and I are going down to Savannah to hopefully finalize things April 19th and 20th.
• Second round of invites have been mailed! Even though the results of the first round was very interesting and incomplete. *shrugs* It is what it is.
• Still searching for officiant. I'm shocked at the number of people who just don't call back or if they do, refuse to do it over what seems to me a silly reason. Seems to be the unexpected theme of the wedding. Luckily, Ben and I are very communicative so it won't be of our marriage. :)
• The Amazon registry is finalized. Bed Bath and Beyond I still peek at and tweak occasionally, but shouldn't change much from here on in.
• My car is paid off as of 4/10! However, it is also potentially on it's last legs which can make things interesting. :(
• Ben's promotion is still up in the air. We are really hoping he gets it! Especially since this economy has had a huge impact, and that would hopefully negate it.

January 2008

• Not doing the spa thing. I'm trying hard to get a woman I worked with who also works for MAC to do my hair and makeup. She also did my makeup for the engagement photos.
• What? You didn't see the engagement photos? Check them out.
• Registry Madness!!! We signed up with Bed, Bath, and Beyond. I'm working on moving as much as possible from Amazon there as the Amazon stuff is too... fluid? Unreliable? BBB makes lots of things easy. :)
• BUT don't forget, IF you are choosing to do a gift in addition to joining us (or because you can't join us and still want to be so kind) remember that while having handy, nifty stuff is great - we'd prefer that you donate in our name to Habitat for Humanity. Serious, H4H before BBB! (Feel free to put our names/address/etc down when filling it out. We'll take the spam for you. :) )
• Family invitations have gone out! Yes, we need you to respond by Feb 1! Then we can send out invites to our friends and know how many of them we can invite. And we have so many friends, that we have to do that in waves - hence why it is so far in advance.
